Way up in the mountain there's a house with many rooms
And here a stream is flowing; from within the house the waters flow to you
A prophet walks in the little stream; waters begin to rise
He wakens in wonder when the waters reach his eyes
Oh, and his body floats up and his feet; they leave the ground
And he see that he is swimming and he plays and he dives on down

River of life flow to me
Through me, to the bottom of my soul
Set me free from the mud-bog and the dry, dead riverbed
And make my body whole

Prophet sees the water flow to the dry, dead world below
On the banks of the river trees are growing
Bearing fruit and causing all mankind to know
The prophet woes because God is going to show him
And the house keeps growing and the river keeps on flowing
And the sea gates flood as the river boldly pours into its waves
